I recently took my first trip to the UK and was pleasantly surprised by how much joy my time there brought me. It was two weeks of pleasure from simple things like visiting the Surrey Hills, a 600-year-old Tudor Castle, spending time with my best friend, and just being. That reminded me of the importance of adding pleasure to my life. Something I had stopped doing recently. 

Life is a journey. We constantly face busyness and burnout, but we must enjoy the little things that bring us joy and happiness. Whether spending time with loved ones, indulging in a hobby, or simply taking a moment to appreciate the beauty around us, incorporating pleasure into our daily routine can improve our overall well-being and satisfaction with life.

Here are three simple ways to add more pleasure to your life:

Prioritise self-care: 

Taking care of ourselves should be a top priority, but we often forget to do so in the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
